Some days I feel like I’m on top of the world and other days I feel like the world is on top of me. When I stop and think about it, I realize it’s just a decision. I am just one decision away from choosing to be happy or choosing to be sad. I know life happens, but our reaction is what makes the difference.
Here are 5 ways to make each day a great day:
1 – Wake up with a grateful heart and spirit.
I recently saw an article that mentioned people who are grateful are naturally happier people, which makes perfect sense. It’s all about perception.
For example, I spill coffee on my shirt and I don’t have time to change before work. I have two choices:
a) I can blow up get upset at myself and the car in front of me that suddenly stopped which caused me to spill my coffee.
b) I can say “ok it’s cool. I will clean my shirt when I get to work, at least I have a job to go to.”
